Cosmelan Peels

Cosmelan Peels

Cosmelan is a professional topical de-pigmentation and brightening agent, designed to target all types of brown patches and skin discolourations while simultaneously evening out skin tone and increasing skin luminosity. It is used to lighten skin pigmentation by inhibiting the production of tyrosinase, which is responsible for the production of melanin. Melanin is a pigment responsible for the darkening of our skin.

How it works

The Cosmelan peel is a two-step treatment. First, the Cosmelan 1 peel is applied to cleansed and professionally degreased skin by your doctor. The rest of the treatment is done at home. After the mask is left on for several hours, the patient will cleanse it off then apply the hydra-vital factor K cream, formulated to boost the skin’s moisture level and to protect new skin growth.

The second part of the Cosmelan peel treatment is home maintenance, which consists of the daily application and continuous use of Cosmelan 2 cream. Application techniques will be advised by your doctor.

Patient Expectations

Cosmelan Peel is effective against all types of melasma and is also compatible with all complexions. Patients can expect minimal side effects such as slight redness and flaking.

A Cosmelan Peel differs from other skin-brightening products and chemical peels in its ingredients, which are designed to treat the specific symptoms of melasma. Melasma can occur during hormonal changes in the body due to pregnancy and menopause, while hyperpigmentation can occur due to sun exposure or genetics. This type of peel can be beneficial if you have tried creams or treatments that contain hydroquinone, tretinoin or TCA (Trichloroacetic Acid) in the past and suffered adverse reactions, as a Cosmelan Peel does not contain these harsh ingredients.

Treatment Areas

Suitable treatments areas include the face, neck, chest, hands, legs and back.

*Treatment is conducted by certified doctor.
